League Starts

The Henderson Ultimate League got underway Monday night with orientation night. We have about 85 people signed up and most of them were there. We went over the rules (no glass bottles) and split people up into teams and started practicing, and scrimmaging. After some debate it was decided that we would have enough space for 3 fields so all the games will start at 8:00pm sharp on Monday nights. The schedule of games w/ opponents will be up shortly.

Good luck to everyone and play nice.

League is back!

Well it's finally back! Thanks to the efforts of Chris Read (and many others i'm sure) there will be a summer ultimate league starting June 6th.

Yep, you heard right, the Henderson Summer Ultimate League will be starting on June 6th and culminate in a 1 day tournament sometime in August. Registration will be May 23-28, at the City of Henderson Parks and Rec Department, and will cost you $20. The fee will go towards fields, a disc for you, and trophies to the winning teams.

The games will start at 8:00pm sharp at Thurman White Middle School (map it) with an orientation to Ultimate at 7pm on June 6th. Bring your turf cleats if you have them.

For more information see the League page or call Dan or Chris (see the contacts page for numbers).

Everyone needs to get out and recruit everyone we can so that this league will be a huge success.

where are the lights?

ok, so for right now tuesday is up in the air, first it was votech, then it was cannon, now it looks like it's back to votech if we can get lights. it may be the case that we will have to pony up some dough for lights, probably around $40 a night. i'm willing to pay money for lights even though i can't play right now, so all ya'll players better step up to the bar and throw down some cash.

enough about lights and fields, eric is getting married on saturday, so everyone wish him and elizabeth the best.

Well, it looks like Thursday pickup is moving to Desert Breeze park. I guess we'll let those westside people have their way this time. Anyhow, same Bat time, different Bat Channel.

nyf 2005

well, we're back from nyf 2005 and photos are starting to show up in the gallery. unfortunately there were two problems with the photos(besides my crappy camera) 1 i never looked at my settings and the camera was set to take photos at 1 megapixel, and 2 there was a smudge on the lense that i didn't see for quite some time. anyone who wants to complain about the photos can feel free to do so after contributing $50 to my digital slr fund. :)
